ovens, stuffed grape leaf with meat and rice, 80-ply
Baklava sweet pastry- and Höțmelim, a local dessert
made of flour, milk, cream, salt, oil and sugar in the
historical mansions.
You can taste and buy Beypazarę Kurusu, which is a
famous cookie for tea times, and only produced in
Beypazarę. It is a different experience tasting these
cooks in the historical mansions.
Local cook competitions
are organized in the traditional annual fest of Carrot
and Casserole and awards are given for the best
tastes. The most of reason for Beypazaręs rich
cuisine is that Beypazarę has plenty of agricultural
products. 70 % of the population is into agriculture
because its lands are very productive. Beypazarę sells
tomatoes, spinach, cucumber, lettuce, green pepper and
carrots to the big cities like Istanbul and Ankara. It
is aimed at expanding the organic agriculture in
Beypazarę, which has been in increase in the recent
years. 60 % of the carrots in Turkey are produced in
Beypazarę. The by products of carrot carrot delight,
carrot jam and carrot juice are the most valuable
products for Beypazarę. Molasses thick syrup made by
boiling down the saccharine juice of quality grapes
grown in Beypazarę and praline are also important
local products.
